Creative Arts
InReach’s Creative Arts program offers individuals with special needs a space where diversity and originality are celebrated. Through the creative process, participants gain a deeper understanding of themselves and others, breaking down personal and social barriers. Our goals are to help each artist achieve their highest level of artistic potential, foster personal growth and self-esteem, and generate income through their creativity.
is a program that gives individuals with special needs the chance to express their creativity through working with clay alongside their peers. The artwork produced celebrates artistic, vocational, and community inclusion. Each handmade pottery piece is fully functional and safe for use in the dishwasher, microwave, and oven. All proceeds from pottery sales go directly to support InReach programs and the artists involved.
Thanks to a partnership with Clayworks Pottery Studio, we offer weekly pottery classes to individuals receiving services through our agency. In addition to fostering creativity, this program provides our artists with the opportunity to generate personal income.
Pottery is available for sale at the Good News gift shop at Christ Episcopal Church, as well as through pop-up markets and shows.
Troupe 801 is a professional touring puppet troupe made up of individuals with special needs. The performances, “Barnyard News” and “What’s all the Buzz About?” deliver a message of acceptance, celebrating how our uniqueness makes each of us special.
Private donations and sponsorships help cover travel expenses and provide stipends for the actors.
